VacGen build for the future

 In 1999 it was confirmed that in addition to other internal restructuring VacGen would be expanding their factory floor size to an overall figure of  70,000 square feet. This was largely attributed to the ongoing success of the SoftShut gate valve which had exceeded expectation, and was now demanding more floor space for both manufacture and storage than was previously expected.

2001 saw VacGen extend its factory workshops a further 16,000 sq ft on to waste ground at the rear of the existing factory to cope with this new demand. (see the factory go up!)

VacGen anounced that it would be moving the vast majority of its chamber fabrication into the new purpose built extension which, as well as freeing up space for SoftShut gate valve production in the original factory, would increase its capability to deal with a larger number of custom chamber requests at any one time.
