| There are two versions of the BD Series drive: the BD2
and the BD2DD. The BD2 Single Drive The BD2 will pass through a 2½" gate valve (64mm clear bore) and has a heavy duty rack and pinion. The carrier is linked to the rack movement and automatically moves up and down the rack as the rack is moved from end to the other by rotating a single RD91 drive. The BD2 is mounted on a 250mm O.D. flange. The BD2DD Dual Drive
The main advantage of the dual drive over the single drive is the fact that no special alignment is required; the carrier can be positioned independently of the rack position. On the single drive version, the rack must be made (and positioned) exactly to allow the carrier to be in the correct position at either end of the rack where transfer takes place. This is not required with the dual drive version as you can independently move the carriage inside its vessel along the rack. The drawings shown is intended as a guide. We have considerable experience in the design and manufacture of special length BD drives (and their associated chambers) to suit many applications. We would be pleased to discuss your requirements in more detail. Please contact either our Technical Support Department or your local Agent for more details. |
