DC Motor Drives in Operation

DC motor drives provide a simple and cost effective way of motorising many of the VG Scienta standard drive and manipulation products. The motor gearbox assembly is complete with local controls for speed and direction. Power is provided from a 24V DC supply which is included with the DC motor drive package.

Two types of geared DC drives can operate a wide range of standard products. The 5:1 gear ratio unit replaces un-geared 23 frame size motors and provides variable speed up to 600rpm. The 10:1 gear ratio unit replaces un-geared 34 frame size motors and provides speed up to 600rpm.
