Multi-user Option

  • A full multi user/group management system
  • Highlights - the management of data by user or group
  • Database can be hosted on almost any platform and anywhere in the world
  • Unlimited users

Why Multi-user

In situations where there is more than one user of the system, the segregation of each user's settings and data soon becomes an issue. The multi-user option is a very powerful one. The system will prompt each user for a username and a password, and then use that account information to customise the users' system experience.

User Groups

Each user can belong to any number of user groups. Data collected by users within that group is then visible to all member users.

User Management

There are systems for managing users and their access levels, and for managing users who either leave a user group or even leave the company. Users can belong to multiple groups.

Remote Database

If all the users are in the same physical site then the database can be hosted on a secure server on that site (see list of database platform options). If the user company is a multinational one, then the server can be located anywhere in the world and can be accessed by the company intranet or by the internet.

User Templates

Each user can also design their own templates for charting, reporting, gas libraries, analysis and more. Thus the system personalises its look and feel to the user who logs in. Templates, libraries etc. from the user's groups are instantly available.

Data Segregation

Only users who belong to a group may view the data and settings belonging to that group.

Summary

The multi-user option solves all the problems that arise when many people share and utilise the same system, maintaining security and integrity, and limiting the visibility of superfluous data.
